FRESHMAN PLACEMENT INFORMATION

Dual-Credit and/or Early Entry College Transcripts

If you took dual-credit/enrollment courses or early-entry college courses while in high school, you are required to provide transcripts from those colleges.

  • UNOFFICIAL Transcripts – If you are currently enrolled at an institution, we can use unofficial transcripts for the purposes of enrollment and awarding financial aid. Failure to submit official transcripts may result in the possibility of taking a course you do not need for your academic plan.
  • OFFICIAL Transcripts – You will need to send OFFICIAL transcripts from each college you have attended, even if no credit was earned at the institution. These must be received no later than September 15th for fall-entry term students and February 15th for spring-entry term students.  Students without official transcripts by the indicated term date will have an indicator placed on their student account.

PLEASE NOTE: A high school transcript reflecting college coursework cannot be accepted as an official college transcript. You must request the college transcript.

Students may not omit any part of their previous college records, whether part-time or full-time, with or without degree objectives, whether or not credit has been granted, or whether or not they desire to transfer credit. Chadron State reserves the right to use the National Student Clearinghouse and/or the National Student Loan Data System to verify that students have accurately disclosed their academic history. Failure to disclose a complete collegiate record may result in denial of admission and/or federal financial aid or dismissal from Chadron State College.

Transfer Requirements

College Transcripts

As a college transfer student, you are required to provide official transcripts from any institution you previously attended prior to enrollment. This includes institutions in which you only attempted credit hours, but may have withdrawn from or failed courses. Please contact each institution you have taken courses with to request the official transcripts.

If you are currently enrolled at another institution, official "in-progress" transcripts will be accepted for the purpose of enrollment. However, a final and official transcript is required, once your courses are completed and graded, by the first day of the term of enrollment.

Transfer students must meet CSC's Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Standards prior to receiving financial aid with CSC. The school in which the student last attempted credit hours will be reviewed to determine financial aid status prior to being awarded financial aid with CSC. In addition, for maximum timeframe allowed to earn a degree, CSC includes all attempted credit hours undergraduate or graduate (depending on current pursued degree) reflected on all academic transcripts from all previously attended institutions.
